    libdvdcss2<Solved>

    Hey all,
I had a clean install of dapper, got all my stuff installed to play dvds like I had libdvdcss2 installed through adept and then I installed some other stuff just playing around and after that I used deborphan to see what was left and not needed and I used sudo apt-get remove libdvdcss2 without thinking and now I can not get it to reinstall using adept apt-get or aptitude, I have not changed my repos, as I will post them and also post the out put of sudo aptitude install libdvdcss2. any help would be apprecitated.

    Re: libdvdcss2

I got libdvdcss2 from by adding deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org etch main to my apt sources. I got acroread, realplayer, w32codecs and flash from there as well. After installation, I disabled this repo, because it not a real dapper repo and I don't want anything to break.

      Re: libdvdcss2

      Did you update first?
      Code:
      sudo aptitude update
and then try to install it?
      Code:
      sudo aptitude install libdvdcss2

        Re: libdvdcss2

I got all the codecs via easy Ubuntu. It's brilliant!

thanks but yes I did all that already and I ended up just going and ftp them and then installed via add remove.
