Kubuntu LTS

I can't play MP3's using Kubuntu. I think I need some sort of 3rd pary codec. Can someone point me in the right direction of what I need to do?

look in the forums for automatix and install it. any codecs, java, flash or whatever can be automatically installed taking out the guesswork!

there will be 3 codec groups listed. check them all and install them.

u should be okay after that.
