adept download error when fetching updates

    adept download error when fetching updates

    Adept has started displaying an error on one of the "downloading" lines as it's fetching the updates.  Specifically, when I fetch the updates, one of the lines most often will immediately say "error" but sometimes will simply say "downloading" even after the fetching process is completed.

    The description column of the line in question says
    http://kubuntu.org dapper release

    There are more than one line that have the description but only one that shows the error. 

    I'm guessing there's something wrong with the connection to the repository server but obviously, I have no way of knowing.

    Any ideas?

    Could you please post the contents of your /etc/apt/sources.list file? I'm guessing that it's actually a problem with the repositories.

      At first I thought it was a problem with the sources file as well but I couldn't see anything wrong with it.  Here is a copy; maybe someone can spot a problem that I can't see:

        You can delete this line in your sources.list, since you are not using the Kubuntu CD as a repository:
        deb cdrom:[Kubuntu 6.06 _Dapper Drake_ - Alpha i386 (20060331.1)]/ dapper main restricted
        Your sources.list seems fine. Another probable cause of the error that you are getting might be from the internet connection or the Ubuntu server.

          The last line:
          deb http://kubuntu.org/packages/amarok-141 dapper main
          should be:
          deb http://kubuntu.org/packages/amarok-141/ dapper main

          EDIT: Err, nevermind, seems like it makes no difference (both seem to work) :P

          As a suggestion, you might want to add the following to get the latest kde and koffice (it will update krita even if you don't have koffice installed):

          deb http://kubuntu.org/packages/amarok-latest/ dapper main
          deb http://kubuntu.org/packages/kde-latest/ dapper main
          deb http://kubuntu.org/packages/koffice-latest/ dapper main


          (the 'XX-latest' repositories should always point to the latest version of the software so you don't have to edit your sources everytime a new version is packaged...like 'amarok-141'-> 'amarok-142'...there might be a few days delay when the 'XX-latest' is changed to point to the newest packages though )

              I get that as well but it seems to resolve itself.....
              i use this list of repositories.....
              it is suppose to be complete.....
