Video thumbnails in konqueror

Why konqueror doesn't show video previews by default and only by adding libarts1-xine package?

Probably because the Kubuntu developers decided that it's not a feature that everyone needs/wants?

Not really sure, though. I haven't had much use for it. seeing the (static) thumbnails are sometimes enough for me.
