Just got the kernel update via adept. Have a Dell Inspiron 630m Centrino. Upon running the new kernel just like in 15.25-686 boot time doubles. Things start to go haywire at the "starting basic networking stage. This takes an age and then I am then placed into full screen text mode. A further long delay takes place with the message trying to load RNG.. Aborting. Also X & KDE seem very slow to come to life (and the latter to close at the end of the session). I had also installed the linux headers for that kernel version and the restricted modules.
I don't get these problems with the 2.6.15.26-386 kernel, which I am happily running, nor with the 2.6.15.23 -686 kernel either, so I am flummoxed. Any ideas anyone?
