Re: is any ohter dialup tool available for KDE other than kppp
@true_firend
To get Kppp in KUbuntu to work I had to create a resolv.conf file. Open Konsole and type
Code:
sudo touch /etc/resolv.conf
then enter your password. Next you may need to edit the kppp-options file. in Konsole type
Code:
sudo nano /etc/ppp/peers/kppp-options
This will start the Nano text editor in the console window. Delete the # in front of noauth. To save the new kppp-options file hit Ctrl+O and then Ctrl+X to exit. Make sure in Kppp that your modem location is correct; dev/modem has never worked for me. I had to set the location to /ttsy4. I hope this helps.
