Don't know K9copy but presume it has a GUI. If yes do the following:

    1. In terminal type whereis and identify the location of K9.

    2. Left click on the desktop and select Create New/Link to Application

    3. In the general tab type K9 or what ever you want. In the general tab you can click on the gear icon and then select an Icon of your choice.

    4. In the application tab find browse and browse to the location of K9, select K9 and then click OK and you will have a link on the desktop.

You could also left click on the KMenue button and then enter the menu editor.

    1. Select the application group you want to add k9 to
    2. Click on the new item icon in the menu editor and follow the dialogue boxes... almost the same as described above.
    3. When you have filled in the boxes DO NOT fail to save the changes in the Menu Editor its this that updates the system.

This is the neater solution if you don't want to clutter up your desktop with icons.

    Cheers
