Extra Repositories

Hi

I have made a minor mistake when adding some extra repositories. I found them on the forum and copied and pasted them into adept. I then forgot to change the us in the copied url to gb before I refreshed everything.

There is no real problem in this except things are a little slow with these new repositories.

If I change the us to gb to speed things up, will this cause any 'confusion' in adept? In other words would it cause any problems?

If yes how could these problems be managed.

AFAIK, it won't confuse Adept. The servers contain the exact same packages. The only difference is where they're located.

I'm not sure about the gb. server. Some people (over at Ubuntuforums) seem to have some problems with it. I think they're using the uk. servers instead (like uk.archive.ubuntu.com). I'm not absolutely sure though.

Teh hell!

are you really using all of these repos ? Seems like great fun using for example kde353 and kde-latest sources at the same time. As well as ~5 repos providing multimedia packages.

But, at least, some interesting repos which I did not know before
