Power saving

I set my power saving to "switch off monitor after 2 minutes", and it works fine, but every time I reboot it resets itself to 30 minutes.
Any ideas as to how I can force it to remember?

Alterting the setting just issues an 'xset' command and the values set by xset are not preserved between reboots.

Try having a read of this thread for a workaround.
