Adept - "new packages available for upgrade"[Solved]

If I run the adept it's showing that libcairo2 is available for upgrade, but after "fetching the list of available upgrade" it then won't install the new package i.e. it seems to indicate that it will "break" something.

Having tried the obvious i.e. apt-get update etc etc I'm no closer to working out why this might be.

How should I go about finding out what's occurring ??

Erm, just waiting. Tonights check of what was waiting in the upgrade/update queue was the package, except someone must have done some work on it - the missing dep was freetype6 > 2.1.1 (I think) and whoever or whatever needed to be done, has been I've now got an apparently, fully up to date system with nothing outstanding, waiting for install.
