    OpenOffice 2.0.3

OOo 2.0.3 is now available from OOo. However, the Linux version is only available as rpms. Is there any chance of these becoming available for (k)ubuntu dapper in the near future?

Not to be finicky but I think mine was posted some 16 hours before the other one

I for one miss the old OOo way, where installation was by an executable file, rather than a load of rpms which, I recognise, aren't a lot of use to users of debian and derivatives. As mentioned elsewhere, there seems to be a chance that OOo2.0.3 will be available soon. My experience with the Windows version would suggest it ought to be worth it.

        Re: OpenOffice 2.0.3

I used alien to convert the .rpms to .debs and then used dpkg to try and install it. All went well except the Menus:

        openoffice.org-debian-menus_2.0.3-2_all.deb

        Which refused to load....

        Any suggestions...
