[SOLVED] Xscreensave Problem ......

I switched to xscreensaver as the KDE version does not seem to work in Kubuntu 6.0.6 and none of the so called fixes worked for me; just wound up with a blank screen.

Of the listed xscreensavers only a few seem to work in the screensaver preferences settings screen.

However when I go to /usr/lib/xscreensavers using the file browser I find all the supposedly inactive screensavers are there and functional too when I just click on them.

What is happening and how could I fix this ?

Well, I've a simular problem, however mine appeared after an update. Unfortunately i cant tell which update. Prior to the update screensaver worked fine. Now, for some reason, the moment the screensaver goes active all i get is a blank screen (whatever the type of screensaver). When i go to the config screen in which i can choose between the diff. screensavers i can test them all without any problem. Anybody can help on how to get my screensaver back on line?
