firefox not default

howdy
ive followed many suggestions I've found here doing searches and none of them work for me. firefox and thunderbird both say they are defauls. but still when opening links in thunderbird they open in konqueror then when I click on a link in konqueror they will open in firefox.

also mailto's in firefox dont open at all.

I guess I must be missing something any help or suggestions would be great. this is drving me nuts.

Are you sure KDE thinks they are the default applications? Check K Menu->System Settings KDE Components, Default Applications to make sure.

yup both thunderbird and firefox are defaults they are listed as mozilla-thunderbird and mozilla-firefox

that fixed the link problem thanks much. now to solve the mailto problem
