Limewire + Kontact freezing the screen

Can anyone else confirm this? Any suggestions on how to fix the issue?

I have KDE 3.5.3 and Limewire installed. Limewire was converted with alien from rpm. KDE upgraded w. Adept.

Limewire works fine but if I run it when Kontact is running the entire GUI freezes and all I can do is cold restart.

did some more work and uninstalled it then installed the "LimewireOther" binary as instructed in the wiki. It does the same thing.

What do other Kubuntu users use for p2p? I tried kmldonkey and for some reason I cannot download anything. Will look again in the firewall requirements of mldonkey.
