My computer has 2 Pentium III processors, so after installing Dapper I changed to the Kernel with SMP support. In adept it's the package linux-686-smp.
When i used kernel 2.6.15-23-386 and kernel 2.6.15-25-386, the computer powered down fine but using the newly installed kernel with smp support 2.6.15-25-686 won't shut off the power but stops with the message "will now halt".
Any hints?
