How to install Firefox 1.5.0.4 on Kubuntu

I'm new to Kubuntu (Dapper Drake 6.06 LTS). I need a step by step instructions on how to manually install Firefox 1.5.0.4.

I know you can use Apt-Get to install Firefox. However, that version is 1.5.0.3. I would like to use the latest version.

I even tried updating Firefox through Apt-Get, but nothing happens (still v 1.5.0.3).

Your response will be much appreciated.

    Thank You,

    -Nate

I have installed Firefox thru Adept and its version 1.5.0.4. I think this is a question of having the universe and multiverse repositories in your source.lst - check out

Keep up-to-date by using the Mozilla version of Firefox. Ubuntu recently changed the repositories version to 1.5.0.4, but if 1.5.0.5 of 2.0 comes out, the repos version will probably take at least another week to come out.

This script will install Firefox from Mozilla for you.

just an fyi, but dapper's Firefox currently *is* 1.5.0.4, so installing it via adept, synaptic or apt-get is quite easy. Just don't forget to refresh/update first, then upgrade

I can follow the installation process okay until the point where I'm asked to select a "localization." I have no clue what is being requested. My responses are answered with something about my reply being non-numeric.
These are my first hours with linux. If I can get a handle on the installation process, I can become quite happy with it!

                  Hello.

To install Firefox manually is as esay as untar the file you have downloaded from Firefox's home page. I have installed Firefox this way because I wanted the latest version too.

                  Bye
