No sound on resuming from Hibernate

Hi everyone,
I am using Dapper 6.06 on Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop.

Resuming from Hibernate works well except that there is no sound. Players like xmms and amarok continue to play but there is no sound output ? Can anybody tell me what the problem is ?

And also is there a way to prompt for password on resuming ?

I think what Cool Dude Prav is saying is that since your sound only fails when coming out of hibernation, your hardware works fine, and this must be a software issue. There is no need to be ultra picky about a borderline problem, but thank you for noticing Cool Dude Prav. For this reason I have moved the topic. Thanks.

I'm having the same problem on my desktop...it was working fine, then it went into hibernation and it wasn't working anymore...I even rebooted, and still doesn't work....
