    fsck

DD runs fsck after 30 root startups (forced). I have tried using KDE system services (admin) to change to single user in order that I might runnig fsck when it convenient to me rather that on startup. Howsomever, I can't get system serivces to work for the single user? Any suggestions or am I wasting my time.

You should be able to run it at any time. "/sbin/fsck ... -rwxr-xr-x"

When Kubuntu boots in recovery mode, I get Error:
      "fsck failed. Please repair manually."
When I try to run "/sbin/fsck", I get warnings about running fsck on a mounted drive.
If I "Ctrl-D" every time Grub Stops, Kubuntu will finally boot up to desktop.
Any help as to my next move?
Is there a way to Print Out the Grub Commands & Errors that appear on the screen as it boots?
      Thanks

Your right my apologies, you can't run fsck on a mounted file system. My suggestion would be to run fsck from a Knoppix disk or the Kubuntu Desktop Live CD.
