    "Important system places" empty

    Hey, all!

I'm new to Linux and Kubuntu, and still getting my sea legs. And arms. And, well, everything.

My latest problem: The System menu ("Important system places") is now empty. I tried removing it from the panel and reinstalling it, but no luck. When I try to reinstall it places the icon there but gives me a "malformed url system:/" error before doing so.

I haven't changed any folder locations (as far as I know), so I'm at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Right click your taskbar, or kicker where it used to be.

Now select Add Applet To Panel...

Scroll down until you see System Menu

Select the + Add to Panel

    This should fix it!!!

For me, this didn't work. What worked however, was reinstalling konqueror (which had disappeared at the same time)...
