Hi,
I'm thinking of switching back to Kubuntu DD from Slackware 10.2, because I found it quite a task to burn DVD+RW discs on Slack. But before I switch, I'd like to know if a few issues have been addressed in the Kubuntu DD.
1. Installing ATI Radeon drivers. Has this been made any easier? Can the drivers be installed by making a .deb package via the isntaller, and do they work without much tweaking?
2. Do I still need to download multiple files and copy them manually in order to play .avi and other proprietary video formats?
3. Does .mp3 files play without too much trouble (installing an odd package is not too much for me, tho).
4. Can Kubuntu be installed from HDD by somehow mounting the downloaded image at boot?
