Krusader as root - crashes - here's fix

Krusader in root mode, run from the Kmenu, crashes with inability to find mime-type etc.

Fix - edit Kmenu entry and change Krusader root mode command to

    kdesu krusader -caption "%c" %i %m

    ie prefix with kdesu

i have found that calling krusader from a terminal using sudo this problem does not appear.
Is this viable or should i stear clear of using this option?

      thanks

Re: Krusader as root - crashes - here's fix

I've recently went on a reinstalling Kubuntu streak, and on one install Krusader worked flawlessly, but all other times it missed it's octet-stream, and went on an url-malforming bender! Of course the one time Krusader worked perfectly, my X-server ate itself, requiring another reinstall...

Running Krusader without root works fine for me, for the moment, and editing the kmenu entry for Krusader with the line "kdesu krusader" in the command field works for me too. For now.

Still, I'm not too impressed with Krusader anyway. I just use Konqueror with tabs to do most of the stuff I need, and the terminal for all the rest...
