dpkg and coreutils don't upgrade

Hi
After an upgrading from kubuntu 5.10 to 6.06, the system has leaved the dpkg and coreutils packages to upgrade. Especially coreutils returns and error type 2. I've already force the package with synaptic but nothing changes.
Any suggestions?

Try this:
sudo apt-get clean
then
sudo dpkg --configure -a

Hi nothing happens
Anyway the system is going good but with old coreutils and old dpkg....
my problem is that when I'll upgrade some packages that depends by dpkg or coreutils i'll have troubles to keep the system stable!
