Problem installing MPlayer and DVD::Rip

Hi all

I hope someone can help.
I am trying to install a DVD ripping/encoding solution.

• When I try to install DVD::Rip, which is present in adept, I get a (BREAK message). In details I get - conflict: video-dvdrip <= 0.50.18-0.0
• When I try to install Mplayer or Mencode in order to try and install acidrip, I get - conflict: mplayer-custom. I also get a number or requiered packages which although are installed are obviously not the versions requiered.

Any ideas?

All-in-one app. No conflict.

Thanks for the reply.
I would like to eventualy encode in MPEG4 (XVID or DVIX).

Any ideas?
