    KDE Packages

Being in the process of moving form Suse to Kunbuntu I am seeking some extras in Kunbuntu which I have in Suse. When Installing Suse if you put in 'all of kde' these extras are just there. Bloat I know...

I am looking for Kdissert a mind-mapping application which I find very handy, and the open terminal took in Konquero.

I didn't quite understand the last part of the last sentence.

Anyway, KDissert (which is a very good mind mapping app, IMHO) is found in the universe repositories.

To install the base KDE stuff, you can either install the kde-core metapackage (which installs arts, fontconfig, kdebase, and kdelibs metapackages) or just the kdebase metapackage.

Thanks for the info and sorry for the lack of clarity. In Konqueror (Suse 10), as file manager, in the tools drop down list there is a command to invoke a terminal program. I found this very handy because it opend in the directory you were looking at in Konqueror. This tool is missing in the Kunbuntu version.

I am assuming that it is some form of kde extras package and was wondering if anyone knew which one.

I could be off beam here but you may be referring to the "Midnightcommander" viewing profile in konqueror which allows you to have a terminal below a twin pane editor (this is my default for Konqueror). However, Kubuntu ships with a "simplified" Konqueror menu system that does not let you acces this. To change back to standard Konqueror follow the instructions here
