Problems with Synce-KDE on Dapper Drake

I installed again from scratch my new Kubuntu 6.06 Dapper Drake.
I first updated everything using aptitude.
After I used "easyubuntu" link to install what for me is necessary to have compatibility with my friend using Windows (w32codecs, fonts, and others...).
At the end I have a new running kubuntu !
So I installed synce-kde and others packages to connect with my Asus A716 PDA.
It was done, but when I try to connect I have no errors but nothing works !
    this is my systemlog.

I was running Synce-kde with Mandriva2006 and all was working fine, with Kubuntu I use tools in the same way but something don't works.

Re: Problems with Synce-KDE on Dapper Drake

Alpa, I've previously tried to use synce-kde to connect to my wife's PocketPC. Eventually I was able to get it to connect (but not update the software she really needed, which uses it's own special update program on Windows), but it was a bit unreliable.

The steps I used that were able to get a reliable connection were:

    1) sudo synce-serial-start
    2) plug into USB port
    3) go to address rapip:// in Konqueror

Then Konqueror would be able to browse the PDA.

I think before doing these steps you might have to run "sudo synce-serial-config" to setup a new device. I don't remember the specifics here, but from what I remember it's pretty straight forward and mostly consists of giving the device a name for Synce to work with.

    Good luck.
