jre1.5 (java runtime environment)

I downloaded and ran the jre 1.5.0.01 runtime environment program from mozilla.com ( I wanted to have it work with Firefox). When it finished running it stated several files weren't found. (I installed a few of them from Ubuntu repositories) and nothing worked. Anyone got this program to install and work
with Firefox? Any help would be appreciated.

Basically, you can now install Java directly from the repositories, thanks to some changes in the licensing of Java from Sun. Just enable the multiverse repositories and you'll be able to install it.
