Adept freezes up waiting for headers

The subject line pretty much says it all. I have been trying to use Adept to update some software on my shiny new Dapper install, but it seems to freeze up at "Waiting for headers". I can check for updates just fine, but it doesn't work when trying to download and install the updates.

This is a brand new install. I haven't done anything else to the system.

Can you post the contents of your /etc/apt/sources.list?
Also, are you able to update/upgrade/install anything through the command line?
