First off, I am using KDE 3.4.3.
For my desktop background, I have it set to use a slideshow from one directory which has about 250 pictures in it. Every 60 mins when it goes to rotate to a new picture my cpu usage jumps to 100% for about 3-5 seconds, redrawing of kde windows stops (although I can still move them around via the title bar), and once the cpu usage subsides, my firefox windows are all scrolled to the top of the webpage.
I am using the latest nvidia drivers (87.62) with twinview 1280x960 * 2 at 85Hz. Each of the two screens has a seperate slideshow setting (but picks from the same pictures), but they get rotated at the same time.
Any help would be appreciated.
