    clvm error

Everytime I try to install something through a packet manager I get the following error:

E: clvm: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 3

Tried reinstalling clvm but was a no go.

    Any ideas?

    Re: clvm error

First question, clvm doesn't get installed automaticly. Do you really need it? Second, have you tried uninstalling it, before reinstalling? Third, Synaptic has a special a special setting for fixing broken packages that sometimes works, so try installing synaptic, then click on custom and broken, then right click on the package you want to repair and see what happens. Finally, usually the error message you got includes the number of the line in the post-install script that caused the problem Take a look at it (and the lines above it) and see if you can find and fix the bug. If not file a bug report.

Thanks for the reply but I already got frustrated and just formatted and reinstalled. It was a pretty new install so it wasn't too big a deal, but if I have a similar issue I'll refer back here. Thanks again.
