kaffeine starts by itself

This just started happening and I can't associate the problem with any change I might have made. Whenever I click on a folder in my home directory, or attempt to open any directory through the taskbar access, kaffeine immediately starts up and attempts to play ALL of the files in that directory. If I click on my home folder, it attempts to load thousands of files even if they are not media files.

This has never happened to me before, and I haven't a clue how it started or how to fix it. any ideas>

you might have inadvertently associated Kaffeine as the default program to open certain file types.
