SOLVED - OPera problem with Dapper

downloaded Opera 8.54 for Ubuntu from Opera.com and installed it.

(sudo dpkg -i opera_8.54-20060330.6-shared-qt_en_etch_i386.deb  ( from Kubunti Dapper forum))

Runs fine sfter install, but won't boot a second time.

If I install it again, it again runs, but after shutting down, wont boot again.

Ideas please.

Solved

followed link on Ubuntu forums and downloaded Opera 20060602 9.0

Works fine now, except for clickable link points being just beneath text on page
