KDE 3.5.3 screensaver problem

After upgrading from 3.5.2 to 3.5.3 the screensaver only works when you lock the session but not after a predetermined idle time...

Worked fine on 3.5.1 and 3.5.2 breezy/dapper but not this latest version (with dapper.) >

Any suggestions?

also the energy saving settings are ignored. If you tell KDE to turn off the monitor after 10 mins, it will be back to 30 mins again after a reboot...

Yep, I have that problem as well.....

Problem solved . It was a bug in kdesktop.
