kdesu won't always start app?

Just loaded 6.06 and find that kdesu frequently does not start its app.  For example running adept or wlassistant occassionally will prompt for a password but will frequently just give me the bouncing "I'm starting!" icon.  A "ps" reveals that the "kdesu wlassistant" is in the process table, but somehow it has never brought anything up within the visible area of the X display.

Eventually I kill it and try again.  Maybe it will start, maybe not!

Any fixes for this?

In order to find out what happened try to start the app in a Konsole use "sudo <bad app>. That way you can get an error message that someone here might be able to interpret.

happens to me also occasionally; IIRC then "kdesu adept" doesn't work then you have used sudo in terminal recently; fortunately it will launch adept at second/third try
