    all multimedia applications crash

I have a strange problem after a upgrade from breezy to dapper drake on my amd64 system.
All the multimedia applications used to run under breezy. Now they crash under dapper.

    Amarok:
    amaroK: [Loader] Starting amarokapp..
amaroK: [Loader] Don't run gdb, valgrind, etc. against this binary! Use amarokapp.
    amaroK: [Loader] amarokapp probably crashed!
    The kernel log message:
    [ 4341.750861] amarokapp[6424] trap divide error rip:2aaaaaab290e rsp:7fffffb90180 error:0

    Rhythmbox:
Speicherzugriffsfehler; I don't know where ther german error message is comming from! Sorry
    The kernel log message:

    xmms:

    The kernel log message:

    xine:

    The kernel log message:
    [ 4716.284028] xine[6442] trap divide error rip:2aaaaaab290e rsp:7ffffffbe010 error:0

Kaffeine first starts. When I try to set the engine to 'Kaffeine' it crashes immediately.
no kernel log message for the kaffeine crash
The backtrace provides some more information:

I am not used to heavy debugging. If somebody can advise me how to get detailed information about the reasons for all the crashes and probably a fix as well, it would we very much appreciated.

Sorry for the rather long posting.

    Thanks for any help.

try reinstalling the xine engine (removing all preferences as well using synaptic)

      Re: all multimedia applications crash

      Hello

I removed all the xine related packages and made sure that all configuration files for xine were removed.
After re-installtion of xine and amarok the same happens. No change, the applications crash.

In another atempt to find a reason for the problem I removed xine and all related applications again. Then I only installed totem-gstreamer and totem. totem crashes as well.
      Kernel Log:
      [ 4776.988286] totem[6133]: segfault at 0000000000000008 rip 00002aaaaaab3dff rsp 00007ffffff42e80 error 4

So it seems that the problem is not related to xine.

Sound works ok. I tested that using mpg123.

Any idea about the reason behind?

      Thanks
