Firefox, Konqueror and Flash

Here is the issue:

I have Flash installed for Konqueror, but Firefox does not recognize it. Do I need to install Flash again or make an amendment somewhere to have Firefox recognize it. (All programs are the latest release versions)

You have to run Firefox at least once (with the flashplayer plugin installed). Restart Konqueror, then Settings>Configure Konqueror>Plugins>Scan for New Plugins.

That has been completed but Firefox still will not recognize the plugin. Any other ideas.

type> slocate libflashplayer.so

once your find its location, there should also be a flashplayer.xpt in the same directory....you want to copy both of those files to your firefox plugins directory

type> sudo cp flashplayer.xpt /usr/lib/firefox/plugins
type> sudo cp libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/firefox/plugins
