Amarok

I am trying to load music onto my MP3 player with Amarok, but it keeps saying when I click the connect button "cannot find the device, remount and try again", but it is mounted. I have tried remounting all I get is " this device is mounted" blah blah blah. I don't know why it won't detect my MP3 player, any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

With the new release of Amarok to 1.4 it has seen

Enhanced media device support (iPod® IFP/IRiver®, generic devices)

It may be worth upgrading to the newest version?

You didn't mention what MP3 player you were using, and I have seen quite a few posts about ipod usage and work arounds if your using that? I am not sure if the upgrade will sort this issue as it is hard to tell what other matter be be at large that could be sorted, but it is worth the upgrade at least for the enhancements.
