    Assistance installing kxdocker

    I currently have kxdocker 0.39 (from the repository) installed on my system, but I wish to update to the newest version. I managed to do the ./configure, and it told me to do make (which did not seem to go all that well - but I'm not fully sure what went wrong. Can someone please tell me what went wrong - see below.

    The make failed because (in the line about five from the bottom) "ld returned 1 exit status". It's not clear to me, exactly why, but the fact that in the file xgicon.cpp, the function convertToImage() seems to pass floats to the first three arguments of a qt routine, qRgba(), that the qt moc seems to think needs 4 integer arguments can't be good. Personally, from the names of the arguments, I would have thought that they should be pointers, but what do I know?

    What all this means, of course, is that the source code is munged. If I were you, I'd live with the current release from the repository, or look for a different tarball.

        kxdocker is also in the repositories. so you can use apt-get, adept, or synaptic to install. it works great and it is much easier this way

          That is the one I currently have installed. I was hoping to get a more updated version. The one on the repository is version 0.39, and they are up to version 1.1.4a. I have had some trouble with the one on the repository as well, so I was hoping that a new version would help.
