Appearance
change the Icon size for the desktop

settings do not hold?

Is this a known bug?

Just tried it again and rebooted, still no luck, is there a "config" file I can manually edit to set the size?

It was not easy, but anyway.. It's in the folder : ~/.kde/share/config
The file is : kdeglobals
and you should find this section :

[DesktopIcons]
ActiveColor=169,156,255
ActiveColor2=0,0,0

ActiveSemiTransparent=false
ActiveValue=0.7
DefaultColor=144,128,248
DefaultColor2=0,0,0
DefaultEffect=none

DisabledColor2=0,0,0
DisabledEffect=togray
DisabledSemiTransparent=true
DisabledValue=1
DoublePixels=false
Size=16


Last one is size of icons
