    Transcode on Dapper 6.06

    Hello!

I want to install transcode (and other dvd-ralted tools such as dvdrip etc) on my Dapper 6.06 installation. Unfortunately, the package ist not found.

    My sources list is:

At http://packages.ubuntulinux.org/dapp.../index.pl.html, transcode is included. Did I misunderstand somethig here?

    Re: Transcode on Dapper 6.06

It's prolly an rsync error with de.archive.kubuntu.org

What you can do is either change from de to us in your sources.list, or (much better way IMO) download it for i386, AMD64, or PowerPC

      Re: Transcode on Dapper 6.06

Unfortunately, exchanging "de" with "us" in sources.list (followed by "sudo apt-get update") didn´t help. I guess this means that this is not a problem of the source...

And sure: It´s possible to install packages "per hand", but I guess this is not the idea behind releasing a package management such as apt.

What can I do to solve the apt-problem?

        Re: Transcode on Dapper 6.06

btw: I tried to install the deb-package, but there are a lot(!!!) of missing depenencies. So now, it would be good to have a working package management, I guess...

hmm, I'll see if I can replicate this, then I'll file a bug report on Malone
