    konqueror stop working

    hi there

    I'm using kubuntu dapper drake

    that's my first ubuntu install

    I'm using xgl with the nvidia binary driver,

    konqueror stop working, sometime it never open... I got to logout/login to re use it.

    here is the strace output : (it freeze on a readf...)

    Hey, I don't know much but I'll do my best to help you out, seeing as you have zero responses thus far.

    The first thing I'd do is uninstall Konqueror in Add/Remove Programs then try apt-get install-ing it again.

      I'm not sure uninstalling and reinstalling Konqueror would be a good idea, since Konqueror is not just the web browser, but also KDE's file browser. If you're going to go that route, it might be better to just reinstall KDE.

        If you're getting into massive re-installation, I'd go back to Breezy. It's only six weeks until they promise to have the bugs out of Dapper.

          Does it happen if you login with xgl running? Have you tried undoing xgl and logging in normally?
          It probably isn't an issue, but it might very well be, and is easier than a reinstall
