Adding Repositories and GPG Keys

Hi, All,
I'm new with Kubuntu; I just installed 6.06. I am trying to add multivers repositories so I can get w32codecs, etc. I followed a tutorial I found on here: http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/sources . I added the medibuntu repositories, but when I tried to add the GPG key, as the turorial said to, it said there is no public key available.

steves@cruncher:~$ wget -q http://medibuntu.sos-sts.com/repo/medibuntu-key.gpg -O- | sudo apt-key add -
gpg: no valid OpenPGP data found.

So, when I run apt-get update, the medibuntu repositories fail:

That's because the repository for medibuntu was changed. Unfortunately, not everyone who have posts on accessing medibuntu have updated their sites to reflect the change.

Follow my HOWTO: Add the Medibuntu Repository and PGP Key and you'll be set.

Hello folks!
This is a great post and I have a ake,similiar situation with regards to changing repos myself so I figure I will post it here.
I am also using Dapper and would like to change the repos to include the latest (Gutsy). I was using a tutorial I found in The Official Ubuntu Book on how to update to the latest v. of Kubuntu:

"...from Breezy Badger to Dapper Drake,change all references to Drake under Manage Repositories,and save the changes.Make sure you reload the repositories...select Full Upgrade."

Sounds easy enough.However,when I change Dapper to Gutsy in the repos it reverts back to Dapper as soon as I click the next repo that I want to change.Perhaps "Gutsy" is not the proper tag I need to insert?

What I am wanting to do is update my system to the latest Kubuntu and not have to wait for a long download and burning anything to disc.I have requested CDs but that will take a while.
Any ideas?

An upgrade to Gutsy can only be done from Feisty. If you have already upgraded successfully to Dapper, then you need to repeat the process and upgrade Dapper to Edgy, and Edgy to Feisty, and then you can upgrade (from Feisty) to Gutsy.

Ahhhh...now that would explain why my system would not boot after I changed the repos to Gutsy and tried an upgrade!
Well.now I know.
By the way...is it possible to run KDE 4 on Dapper?If yes,how?
