Using the Opera browser
I have just had this window pop up and freeze my screen. Did "ctrl" "alt" "backspace" to close session.
This has happened only a couple of times over a year.
A more frequent pop up is "Adobe 9"; which disappears if one clicks NOT on the window.
Is there a way of blocking either?

whatever site you are going to are trying to hit you with pop up ads selling you something. Or more likely trying to install windows virus or spyware This has nothing to do with Opera specifically, other than maybe its adblock/popup block operates differently than Firefox/Konqueror.

not familiar with Opera, maybe someone else can add? Or perhaps ask the opera people, if no one here has the answer.
