finding hardware??

this might sound like a silly question but here goes. i've been using kubuntu for a year now and i've always known what my hardware is, now i'm installing dapper drake on a friends computer(there windows went wonky) and i can't find where you go to see what hardware is on there computer. any help would be great

KMenu>System>Kinfocenter is pretty easy.

There's also a package named hwinfo that you install and run in a terminal.
