Installing Insight debugger for GDB fails

    Hi,

Just tried to install Insight (graphical debugger from RedHat) using Synaptic Package manager.

Shortly after the installation begins, I get the following error:

(Reading database ... dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/itcl3_3.2.1-3.1_i386.deb (--unpack):
unable to open files list file for package `libjasper-1.701-dev': Input/output error
    Errors were encountered while processing:
    /var/cache/apt/archives/itcl3_3.2.1-3.1_i386.deb
Processing was halted because there were too many errors.
    E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
A package failed to install. Trying to recover:

Anyone any idea how this can be solved?

I "solved" the issue by downloading the source package from the Insight site and compiling the package myself. Now it's up and running and works very well.

However, not being able to install it using an installation package, is still bad.

So, I hope this one will be solved too.
