dpkg busy

I am not able to upgrade my system because I have the following problem: when I try

sudo apt-get upgrade

the output is:

E: Can't get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11 Resource temporarily unavailable)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?

How can I do to solve this problem?
