System is AMD64 with Dapper and KDE 3.5.2.
After reading many topics about it, can't figure out what kind of problem it is.
To mention a few:

Just like these users, the system mounts USB and CD correctly, putting the respective icon on desktop, but the same doesn't apply to a DVD media.
I searched through KDE.org and there seems to have not a single objective and working answer for that. It'st clear it doesn't happen only in Kubuntu, as Suse, Kurumim and other distros suffer with this.
I remember having the automount working pretty fine with whatever media I inserted, but after some update (which, of course, I can't remember), I just noticed some weeks later that DVD wasn't automounting, but swapping to a CD medium worked correctly.
Anyone knows a fix for it, or is it currently broken? Isn't it possible to make updates without breaking what currently works?
Peace, bros.
