lots (most?) of lexmark's printers don't work on linux cuz lexmark doesn't make linux drivers (afaik) for their printers and it is very hard for developers to create their own so they don't (usually).

What kind of bad luck are you having with it?

I was setting up Kununtu on a friends PC and he has a p4350 and it wasn't in the cups setup list. I was hoping someone with more brains then me had found a work around.

That's why I check before I buy, but he's a noob. His HP picked right up. I told him to just use the lexmark in winders till it dies the buy a Linux compatible printer.

stick with HP or Epsons. best compatibility or all printer brands.
