enable suspend

I reinstalled 6.06 after using it for about a year. I used to have the suspend option in my log out screen and now, I don't have it. How do I enable this option ?

System/Adept (Packet Manager)

Search for Hibernate.

Hibernate is already installed. When I try to run it, it says that my kernel was compiled without Software Suspend 2 supports. Would it be really complicated to recompile my kernel so I can enable suspend function ?
