K7.04 and crash message after login

    Hi all

I'm geting a Crash Message at the top left of screen, after any/all users log in.

When I click on the notifier, all that happens is firefox loads offering [Start new Session] or [Restore Session].

I wasn't running firefox in any previous session!.

Tried logging all users out and rebooting then logging in. No change!

    Any ideas guys?

And for any gurus ... is there a way for me to examine a file/log to see "behind the scenes" in regard to application crashes.

    Thanks in advance.

    Guru, guru

The good news is that there are virtually piles of files, logging all and everything - see /var/log for details ...

The bad news: not every application takes part in this "game of notes"; and the way these notes are being kept is rather, er, "Linux-specific": everyone as (s)he likes it ...

      As UnicornRider said:

      In the home folder: .xsession-errors
The .xsession-errors file (hidden file) stores errors that occur when a graphical user session is started (using X Windows).

      Here xsession is telling that:
      (Gecko:5820): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_pixbuf_get_from_drawable: assertion `gdk_window_is_viewable (src)' failed
      though firefox is working.
