Configured KPPP all right. It detects the modem and dials and say's it's connected but when I bring the Konqueror browser up and try say eBay, I get, "An error occured while loading www.ebay.com. Unknown host www.ebay.com". Anyone know how to fix this? Also, it says it's connected at 9600 kbps. Why so slow? Thanks.

I would guess that you have a network set up or at least eth? set up for dhcp. try disabling it or setting to static ip and redial. In kppp make sure that you have set the speed to 115200. It's dial up so don't expect much.~$sudo make me a sandwich -

I'm also using Puppy Linux which uses GKdial. That works great. Would Kubuntu work with this? Thanks.Comment
